Makes 12
Ingredients:
2 ¼ teaspoons dry active yeast
1 cup warm milk
3 cups bread flour
1 teaspoon San Fran Sea Salt
⅓ cup Gil’s California Extra Virgin Olive Oil, plus extra for brushing
Instructions
Sprinkle yeast over warm milk, gently stir, and set aside for 5 minutes or until the yeast becomes foamy.
Place flour and salt in a mixer fitted with the hook attachment, and stir until combined. Add the yeasty milk and olive oil to the bowl, and stir until a slightly tacky dough forms.
Cover the bowl and set aside to proof for 90 minutes. Once proofed, punch the dough down and divide into 12 even balls. Brush a 13x9-inch baking pan with olive oil. Add the dough to the baking pan, spacing out evenly, brush with olive oil, cover, and proof for 1 hour or until the rolls have doubled in size.
Meanwhile, preheat the oven to 375°F. Once the rolls have doubled, place in the oven, and bake for 20 to 25 minutes or until golden and fluffy. Remove from the oven and set aside to cool, briefly, on a wire rack before serving.
